Ski Soloperto's Muse

Ski took many photos of this lovely young woman. Not content to merely shoot her in his studio, he had to see her out in the beautiful nature of Hawai'i. You can tell he was truly inspired by her.

These images are from a huge batch of hundreds photos given to Dan in high school by a school acquaintance who, rightly, thought he would appreciate them. The school chum had found them in his parents house, and all of them were old and apparently shot by someone named "Ski" Soloperto who lived in Hawaii.

The Lioness

A hot and smokey day in the Hollywood Hills. The massive Station wildfire was burning and turned the pool waters murky. Cindy had never modeled or swum naked even. It could have gone badly, what a liberating experience for us both! She turned out to have a knack for submerging that no other model i have shot has had, so the day ended up being a lot of fun.

We shot a lot of different things, but one series focused on evoking this feeling of an ancient statue, long lost under the sea, come to life.

Floaty Breasted Vampire...

A silly sketch that came about after a chat with a friend in which she described to me how shocked and amused she was when she recently went skinny dipping and noticed that her Double D breasts reeeallly floated well when she was wading in the water.
